“You’re one workout away from a good mood.”

This week has been rather momentous for me.  I finally got my a$$ back to the gym for regular workouts … and you know … exercise truly is all that it’s cracked up to be.  As I’ve learned for the gazillionth time, exercise will make you feel entirely better.  Like invasion-of-the-body-snatchers-better … EVEN IF YOU’RE EXHAUSTED.  And here I’ve put it in writing to remind myself and perhaps to encourage or inspire you to get your arse to the gym or get outside or run or ride your bike or do something.  But you have to push it. Lollygagging will get you nowhere.  Of course any exercise is better than no exercise, but you’ve got to get your heart rate up and those endorphins flowing to get the real mental benefit, which I would argue is where either inspiration or sabotage begins.  Just like the sign I saw today at the Y says “You’re one workout away from a good mood.”
